O dearest Srila Prabhupada,

Please let us offer our most humble and prostrate obeisances at your divine lotus feet. You are so magnanimous and merciful upon us that, even though we have no qualification, you accept us as your disciples. This is the highest gift in the world. There are innumerable living entities traveling throughout the different planets of the universe, and of them only a few are fortunate enough to meet a pure devotee. A pure devotee is a rare thing. You have come to this demoniac place to teach love of God (krsna-prema), but being unfortunate and foolish, we are so much absorbed in the modes of materialism that we cannot appreciate your greatness.

O beloved master, Krsna said in Bhagavad-gita, "Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master" (tad viddhi pranipatena, Bg 4.34), but you are so merciful that you have come to these Western countries, full of voidism and impersonalism, to teach us the ultimate aim of life: Lord Sri Krsna, the Supreme Personality of godhead (vasudeva-para gatiḥ, SB 1.2.28-29). Before you came, we were lost in the world of illusion (maya), spending our nights uselessly sleeping and our days decorating our bodies. By your mercy, you have ransomed us from this material bondage. Only you could do it because only you are a genuine and perfect devotee of Sri Krsna.

O venerable Vaisnava, O ocean of mercy, we humbly beg you, please let us remain as your eternal servants. We do not find the strength to carry on alone the sahkirtana of the holy name of Hari. Please bless us, by giving us just one drop of faith with which to obtain the great treasure of the holy name of Krsna.

O blissful prince of Vaikuntha, since your bliss is always increasing, we know that Krsna is yours, and only you have the power to give Him to us. You can deliver any benediction to any living entity. We are simply begging you to turn your face, bright like the sun, upon us. Only your glance can purify everything from the dust of material existence.

O powerful mahatma, since you are the external manifestation of Krsna, you are also the most powerful soul within this universe. Because of this fact, you are beyond our understanding. We can only beg you to forgive us for this fallible attempt to say something about your glories. We are drowning in this ocean of nescience, and not one pure word can come out of this polluted consciousness.

O greatest saint among the saints, Srila Prabhupada, if you examine us, you will find no qualities. Your mercy is all we are made of. We are very small devotees with only you to depend on. So please, be merciful upon us. Let us remain always like a speck of dust at your divine lotus feet.
