Let us offer our most humble obeisances again and again at the lotus feet of our spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

In the Srimad Bhagavatam, Vidura appropriately addresses his spiritual master, Maitreya Muni, thusly:

There is no more fitting glorification of Your Divine Grace than the very Bhagavatam which you yourself personify. We, unfortunately, can understand very little of this fact, being of this class of fallen souls adverse to Krsna bhakti, but by your causeless mercy we are becoming more and more appreciative of your greatness through the pages of the transcendental literatures which you are so kindly making available to the world at large. That is your magnanimity, that you are personally traveling to every town and village in the form of the Srimad-Bhagavatam and Caitanya-caritamrta and entering the homes, lives and hearts of all that you meet, thus creating the most wonderful revolution. Pratinivrtta gunormi: such materially conditioned souls as ourselves become gradually abhorred by our sinful lives and somehow or other become attracted to the devotional service of the Supreme Lord, Sri Krsna.

Srila Prabhupada, the very fact that you are producing so many volumes of Krsna conscious literature is the final proof for fools such as ourselves that you are not an ordinary entity of this material world. As Lord Brahma became qualified to offer countless prayers in glorification of the Lord by dint of his being acquainted with the ocean of truth, so you are always cognizant of the name, form, qualities, activities and pastimes of Lord Krsna and therefore are an endless river of nectar extending from the ocean of Krsna to our parched hearts. The gopis prayed to the Lord in this regard:

"My Lord, the nectar of Your words and the description of your activities are the life and soul of those who are always aggrieved in this material world. Those narrations are transmitted by exalted personalities and they eradicate all sinful reaction. Whoever hears these narrations attains all good fortune. These narrations are broadcast all over the world and are filled with spiritual power. Those who spread the message of Godhead are certainly the most munificent welfare workers." (Bhag. 10.31.9)

Srila Prabhupada, we, your Western disciples, stand as evidence of the immense potency of your words. Although we come from lower than mleccas and yavanas, by your order we are in a tiny way assisting you in your mission to save the world. This, again, is simply by your causeless mercy, and is further evidence of your equanimity toward all living entities, in that you are saving us by engaging us in saving others. And yet you are so kind upon us to see that we get credit in Krsna's eyes for our feeble efforts in pushing on this sahkirtana movement. Although this is bewildering to us, how fallen rascals such as ourselves can be counted among the authorized representatives of Lord Caitanya, it is so by Your Divine Grace, and it is therefore not at all astonishing. As stated in the Garuḍa Purana:

Srila Prabhupada, by Your Divine Grace we who were certainly lowborn creatures are now distributing your mercy in the form of your books to the learned philosophers, scholars, professors and theologians of the Western world. The fact that we of the BBT Library Party are able to do this work and that the response of the learned men of this materialistic society toward your books is so overwhelmingly favorable, is only further evidence of your expertise. You exactly fit Srila Rūpa Gosvami's definition of an acarya, in that you are capable of bringing everyone, somehow or other, to Krsna consciousness.

Srila Prabhupada, please favor us by allowing us to always remember your position as the Supreme Personality of Servitor Godhead. We pray at your lotus feet that we never make the mistake of minimizing any instruction that you may impart as being subject to the defects of this material world. let us always perceive you as the person Bhagavatam, the personified instructions of Lord Krsna Himself. Please teach us to cherish the version of the Caitanya-caritamrta:
