Dear Srila Prabhupada,

On the occasion of this Vyasa-pūja day, we desire to declare our complete dependence upon your transcendental mercy. The whole world was waiting for you. War, famine, and constant burning desires for love were ravaging the poor conditioned souls. But, now you have come. Oh, Srila Prabhupada, you are the greatest of all masters. You are the greatest of kings, poets and scholars. You are the greatest of generals. Your opulences have no limit. You give us shelter though we are filled with the bad qualities of anger, greed and envy. Without you our bodies become useless. We are simply animallike servants of illusion, accepting death again and again.

Please engage this insignificant soul in the service of Radha and Krsna. After being tortured for an eternity by the witch Maya, we have finally accepted you as the captain of our ship. These bodies are yours. Let us help expand your mercy everywhere through the inadequate work of our own hands. Srila Prabhupada, we pray that you will be very strong and healthy as you surcharge this dark world with your transcendental energies. We want to give up our selfishness and serve you in cooperation. Please allow us to realize that by accepting the shelter of your lotus feet and worshiping you by preaching Krsna consciousness under the direction of the GBC and sannyasis, we are perfectly situated in your service. In this spirit we can continue to help you spread this movement, and Lord Caitanya's name will be glorified in every town and village.

In Vrndavana you were living in one house before you moved into the Radha Damodara temple. The landlord showed us the spot where you sat, chanting Hare Krsna and seeing the transcendental form of the Lord. At that time, in the Western world no one knew of Lord Caitanya, what to speak of following His instructions. Now, by your mercy, in almost every major city of the world, the conditioned souls can follow in your lotus footsteps by sitting before the Deity and chanting Hare Krsna. Thus you have expanded Vrndavana.

Please give us the strength to follow your bold example. O Gurudeva, purify our sinful hearts as we struggle to preach Krsna consciousness in this dark material world. By your mercy the hearts of the living entities who have all fallen under the influence of so many ism's will be conquered.
