"Any person who seriously desires to achieve real happiness must seek out a bona fide spiritual master and take shelter of him by initiation." (Bhag 11.3.21)

om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya
caksur unmilitam yena tasmai sri-gurave namaḥ

Dear Srila Prabhupada,

We beg you to accept our prostrate obeisances at your divine lotus feet. O divine lord and beloved master, we don't know how to honor you properly; we pray you to excuse this incapacity. Please give us the power to properly honor all living beings. Please give us the power to understand your supreme glories.

Dear spiritual father, we are devoid of all strength and intelligence. We are very low and fallen. How can such persons honor and explain the qualities of a great paramahamsa and sublime Vaisnava like you? But somehow or other we have gained shelter at your divine lotus feet, due to your great mercy upon all the conditioned souls.

O venerable Vaisnava, we beg to remain in your service,
