Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept our obeisances and prayers of gratitude at your lotus feet.

tvam sad-gurur naḥ paramam ca daivatam
yasyanuvrttya krtino babhūvima

"You are our spiritual master and supreme worshipable Deity. By following in your footsteps we have become successful in every respect." (Bhag. 1.11.7)

Certainly now that you have taken us on as your disciples, we must be the most fortunate few persons on this earth, which lies so helplessly besieged by the awesome forces of the age. If we can just hold fast to your mercy, you have assured us we will always remain without a doubt saved. Please, then, tell us again day after day, reminding us as we need to be reminded, of the simple formula Krsna has given: man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru [Bg 18.65]. As you have explained, Krsna is asking only four things. "Always think of Me," by being always engaged in hearing and chanting.

"Become My devotee," by accepting the association of devotees and maintaining without fail the basic principles. "Worship Me," both as the Deity in the temple by regular service and as the Lord of sacrifice by striving to spread His glories all over the world. And "Offer your homage unto Me," continuing to acknowledge Krsna's kindness even within the most trying difficulty.

Perhaps you are even a little satisfied with our most weakhearted efforts to serve. Please, therefore, continue to rain your undeserved blessings on us. Defeat all our unnecessary diversions and set us straight more and more on this supreme perfectional path.
