na mamara pita tasya
vipra-deva-prasadatah
yuvanasvo tha tatraiva
tapasa siddhim anvagat
SYNONYMS
nanot; mamaradied; pitathe father; tasyaof the baby; vipra-deva-prasadatahbecause of the mercy and blessings of the brahmanas; yuvanasvahKing Yuvanasva; athathereafter; tatra evain that very place; tapasaby executing austerity; siddhimperfection; anvagatachieved.
TRANSLATION
Because Yuvanasva, the father of the baby, was blessed by the brahmanas, he did not fall a victim to death. After this incident, he performed severe austerities and achieved perfection in that very spot.
