[00:37] adade-took up;
[00:40] tvayi-on You;
[00:43] krta-agasi-creating disturbances (by breaking the butter pot);
[00:52] dama-rope;
[00:55] tavat-at that time;
[00:59] ya-that which;
[01:02] te-Your;
[01:04] dasa-situation;
[01:07] asru-kalila-overflooded with tears;
[01:13] anjana-ointment;
[01:17] sambhrama-perturbed;
[01:22] aksam-eyes;
[01:25] vaktram-face;
[01:28] niniya-downwards;
[01:30] bhaya-bhavanaya-by thoughts of fear;
[01:38] sthitasya-of the situation;
[01:43] sa-that;
[01:45] mam-me;
[01:48] vimohayati-bewilders;
[01:52] bhiḥ api-even fear personified;
[01:58] yat-whom;
[02:00] bibheti-be afraid of.
[02:05] Translation: "My dear Krsna, Yasoda took up a rope to bind You when You committed an offense,
[02:12] and Your perturbed eyes overflooded with tears, which washed the mascara from Your eyes.
[02:18] And You were afraid, though fear personified is afraid of You. This sight is bewildering to me."
[02:28] [Prabhupada:] This is also another opulence of Krsna. Krsna is full with six kinds of opulences.
[02:43] So this opulence is beauty, beauty opulence. Krsna has got six opulences:
[02:52] all riches, all strength, all influence, all knowledge, all beauty, all renunciation.
[03:05] So this is the opulence of Krsna's beauty. Krsna wants everyone...
[03:17] Just like we are, we are offering obeisances to Krsna with awe and veneration.
[03:28] But nobody comes here to Krsna with a rope: "Krsna, You have offended. I shall bind You."
[03:41] Nobody comes. That is the another prerogative of the most perfect devotee.
[03:54] Yes. Krsna wants that. Because He's full of opulence... This is also another opulence.
[04:03] Anor aniyan mahato mahiyan .
[04:06] The greater than the greatest and the smaller than the smallest, that is opulence.
[04:14] So Kuntidevi is thinking of Krsna's opulence, but he [she] did not dare to take the part of Yasoda.
[04:25] That is not possible. Although Kuntidevi happened to be aunt of Krsna, but she had no such privilege.
[04:40] This privilege is especially given to Yasodamayi,
[04:48] because she's so advanced devotee that she has got the right to chastise the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
[05:01] That is special prerogative. So Kuntidevi was simply thinking of the privilege of Yasodamayi,
[05:11] that how much fortunate and how much privileged she was that she could threaten
[05:23] the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is feared even by the fear personified.
[05:37] Who is not afraid of Krsna? Everyone. But Krsna is afraid of Yasodamayi.
[05:46] This is the superexcellence of Krsna.
[05:52] Just like Krsna's another name is Madana-mohana. Madana means Cupid.
[06:00] Cupid enchants everyone. Cupid. And Krsna enchants Cupid.
[06:09] Therefore His name is Madana-mohana. He's so beautiful that even Cupid is enchanted by Him.
[06:20] But again, on the other side, Krsna, although He's so beautiful that He enchants the Cupid,
[06:30] still He is enchanted by Srimati Radharani. Therefore Srimati Radharani's name is Madana-mohana-mohini.
[06:43] Krsna is the enchanter of the Cupid, and Radharani is the enchanter of the..., that enchanter.
[06:52] So these are very high-grade spiritual understanding in Krsna consciousness.
[07:00] It is not fiction or imagination, concoction. They are facts. They are facts.
[07:12] And every devotee can have such privileges if he is actually advanced. If you...
[07:23] Don't think that the privilege which was given to Mother Yasoda... If not exactly like that, everyone can have that privilege.
[07:36] If you love Krsna as your child, then you'll have such privilege.
[07:44] Because the mother has got... Because mother loves the most. Nobody...
[07:50] In this material world, there is no comparison of mother's love. Without any exchange.
[08:01] Even in this material world, mothers love the child without any expectation of return, generally.
[08:12] Although in this material world it is so polluted, still, sometimes mother thinks,
[08:20] "The child will be grown up. He will be big man. He will earn money, and I shall get it."
[08:28] There is still some feelings of exchange. But while loving Krsna, there is no such feeling of exchange.
[08:38] That is called unalloyed love. Anyabhilasita-sūnyam [Brs 1.1.11], free from all material gain.
[08:52] We should not love Krsna for some material gain. It is not that
[09:00] "Krsna, give us our daily bread, then I love You. Krsna, give me this, then I love You."
[09:09] There is no such mercantile exchange. That is wanted. Krsna wants that kind of love.
[09:19] So here it is said that position, ya te dasa. Dasa.
[09:29] When, as soon as Krsna saw Mother Yasoda is coming with a rope to bind Him,
[09:38] so He immediately became very much afraid so that tears came out:
[09:45] "Oh, Mother is going to bind Me." Ya te dasasru-kalila anjana. And the ointment is being washed off.
[09:59] And sambhrama.. And with great respect looking to the mother, with feeling appeal,
[10:07] "Yes, Mother, I have offended you. Kindly excuse Me." This was the scene of Krsna.
[10:18] So that scene is appreciated by Kunti. And immediately His head became downward.
[10:32] So this is another Krsna's perfection, that although He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead...
[10:49] "My dear Arjuna, there is no superior being above Me. I am the supermost."
[10:58] Mattaḥ parataram na anyat: "There is nobody else." But that Supreme Personality of Godhead,
[11:08] above whom there is none, that Supreme Personality of Godhead is bowing down before Mother Yasoda.
[11:21] Niniya. Vaktram niniya. He is accepting, "My dear Mother, yes, I am offender."
[11:30] Niniya vaktram bhaya-bhavanaya, with a feeling of fearfulness. Sthitasya.
[11:41] Sometimes when Yasodamata, Mother Yasoda, used to see that the child has become too much afraid,
[11:51] she also became disturbed. Because if the child is disturbed-it is a psychology-
[12:01] there is some mental reaction. So Mother Yasoda did not want that "Actually Krsna will suffer by my punishment."
[12:11] That was not Krsna..., Mother Yasoda's purpose. But as a mother feelingly,
[12:20] when she feels too much disturbance, the child is...
[12:26] This system is still current in India: when the child too much disturbing, he is bound up in a place.
[12:38] That is very common system. So Yasoda-mata adopted it. Sa mam vimohayati.
[12:48] So that is the scene appreciated by pure devotees,
[12:43] that how much greatness is there in the Supreme Person that He is playing exactly a perfect child.
[13:09] When He's playing like a child, He plays perfectly. When He plays a husband, 16,000 wives,
[13:20] He was playing perfectly as husband. When He was playing as lover of the gopis,
[13:29] He was playing perfectly. When He was friend of the cowherds boy, He was playing perfectly.
[13:39] The cowherds boy all depended on Krsna. They wanted to taste the palm tree fruits,
[13:51] but there was a demon, Gardabhasura, they would not allow anyone to enter that palm tree.
[14:00] But the boy friends of Krsna, cowherds, they requested, "Krsna, we wanted to taste that fruit.
[14:10] If you can arrange..." "Yes." Immediately Krsna arranged. Krsna and Balarama went to the forest,
[14:21] and the demons, they were living there in the shape of asses,
[14:27] and immediately they came to kick by their hind legs Krsna and Balarama.
[14:35] And Balarama captured one of them and immediately threw on the top of the tree, and the demons died.
[14:46] So the friends also were very much obliged to Krsna.
[14:51] There was fire all round. They do not know anything. "Krsna." "Yes." Krsna is ready.
[15:00] Krsna immediately swallowed up the whole fire. There were so many demons attacked.
[15:09] Every day, all the boys, they would come back to their home and explain to their mother,
[15:16] "Mother, Krsna is so wonderful. You see. This happened today."
[15:24] And the mother would say, "Yes, our Krsna is wonderful." So much. That's all.
[15:28] They do not know Krsna is God, Krsna is the Supreme Person. "Krsna is wonderful."
[15:34] That's all. And their love increases. The more they perceive Krsna's wonderful activities,
[15:42] they become more lover. "Perhaps He may be a demigod. Yes." That is their suggestion.
[15:52] When Nanda Maharaja will talk amongst his friends and the friends will talk about Krsna...
[15:58] "Oh, Nanda Maharaja, your child Krsna is wonderful." "Yes, I see that. Maybe some demigod."
[16:07] That's all. "Maybe." That is also not certain.
[16:13] So the inhabitants of Vrndavana, they do not care who is God or who is not God.
[16:23] That is not their business. But they want Krsna and love Krsna. That's all.
[16:32] So those who are thinking of first of all analyzing Krsna, whether He's God, they are not first-class devotee.
[16:45] Those who have got spontaneous love for Krsna, they are first-class devotee.
[16:51] How you will analyze Krsna? He's unlimited. It is impossible. So this business...
[17:00] We should not try to analyze, to know Krsna. It is impossible.
[17:05] We have got limited perception, limited potency of our senses. How we can study Krsna?
[17:16] It is not possible at all. Whatever Krsna reveals Himself, that much sufficient. Don't try. That is not...
[17:28] Neti neti. Just like the Mayavadi, they are trying to find out God, where is God, who is God. Neti, "Not this."
[17:36] They're simply "Not this." Their philosophy is based on "Not this."
[17:43] And what it is, they do not know.
[17:47] The so-called scientists also, they are trying to find out the ultimate cause, but their process is "Not this."
[17:55] So much. As..., as much they're advancing, they're finding "Not this." And what it is, they will never find.
[18:07] They will never find. They can say "Not this," but what it is, that is not possible. This is not possible.
[18:21] Panthas tu koti-sata-vatsara-sampragamyo vayor athapi manaso muni-puhgavanam,
[18:31] so 'pyasti yat prapada-simny avicintya-tattve govindam adi-purusam tam... [Bs. 5.34].
[18:38] So what to speak of Krsna, even this material object. They're trying to go to the moon planet.
[18:46] Actually they do not know what it is. Actually. Then why they're coming back?
[18:56] If they knew it perfectly what it is, then they would have resided there by this time.
[19:05] They are trying for the last twenty years. Simply they are seeing "Not this.
[19:12] There is no living entities. There is no possibility of our living there." So many "no's."
[19:21] And what is yes? No, they do not know. And this is only one planet or one star.
[19:31] The moon planet is taken as star.
[19:35] The scientists, they say the stars are all suns, but according to our information, in the Bhagavad-gita,
[19:55] So what is the position of the moon? Moon is bright being reflection of the sun.
[20:06] So according to our calculation the sun is one.
[20:11] But the modern scientist says that there are so many suns, the stars. We don't agree.
[20:19] This is only one universe. There are many suns, innumerable, but in each and every sun..., every universe
[20:31] there is one sun, not many. So this universe, what we are experiencing, experiencing by seeing imperfectly...
[20:43] We do not know. We cannot count how many stars are there, how many planets are there.
[20:51] It is impossible. So the material things which is before us, still we are unable to count,
[21:03] to understand, and what to speak of the Supreme Lord who created this universe. That is not possible.
[21:11] Therefore in the Brahma-samhita it is said,
[21:24] The space is unlimited. Now you take your plane or sputnik or capsule...
[21:33] So many things they have invented. So you go on. Now go on for how many hours or days or years?
[21:44] No. Panthas tu koti-sata-vatsara. For millions of years, koti-sata-vatsara, go on with your speed.
[21:57] Panthas tu koti-sata-vatsara-sampragamyaḥ. And how I shall go?
[22:04] Now, on the plane, which is running on this velocity of the air. Not this velocity, not this speed,
[22:17] 500 miles or 1000 miles per hour. No. [aside:] What is the speed of air?
[22:24] [Svarūpa Damodara:] 126,000 miles per second.
[22:29] [Prabhupada:] Second. Ninety-six miles per second. These are mentioned in the Vedic literature, that if you go by this speed, air,
[22:40] ninety-six thousand miles per second... So just imagine what is the speed of air.
[22:48] So, panthas tu koti-sata-vatsara-sampragamyo vayor athapi,
[22:54] on the plane which is running on the speed of air. That speed, and for millions of years.
[23:06] Then again it is suggested not only on the speed of air, but also on the speed of mind.
[23:14] The mind you can, everyone, we know, what is the speed of mind.
[23:20] Even one ten-thousandth part of a second, you can go millions of miles,
[23:27] the speed of mind. It is so speedy. You are sitting here, and suppose you have seen something
[23:37] which is millions of miles here..., miles away, you can immediately, your mind can go immediately.
[23:46] So these two examples are given. Just see how much scientific they were.
[23:54] These rascals says that there was no advanced mind or advanced scientists.
[24:03] Then wherefrom these words are coming-the speed of air, the speed of mind-
[24:10] unless they had some experiment, some knowledge. Why..., how these books are written?
[24:17] So, panthas tu koti-sata-vatsara-sampragamyo vayor athapi manasaḥ.
[24:24] And how the speed..., speedy planes are manufactured? Muni-puhgavanam:
[24:34] by the greatest scientists and greatest thoughtful men. By..., manufactured by them.
[24:41] So is that perfection? No. So 'pyasti yat prapada-simny avicintya-tattve.
[24:48] Still you shall remain in inconceivable understanding what is this creation.
[24:55] Still, if you are so advanced that you can run on on this speed, and if you are greatest
[25:02] scientist and thoughtful philosopher, still you'll remain in the same condition: unknown. Still.
[25:13] So how we can study Krsna? And Krsna has created all these things.
[25:19] So if you cannot understand Krsna's created things, how you can understand Krsna?
[25:28] This is not possible at all. It is not possible. Therefore this Vrndavana status of mind
[25:38] for the devotees is the perfection. They have no business to understand Krsna.
[25:45] They want to love Krsna, without condition. "Because Krsna is God, therefore I love."
[25:57] Their mentality is not like that. Krsna is not displaying in Vrndavana as God.
[26:04] He is playing there as ordinary cowherds boy. But at times, He's proving
[26:12] that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. But they do not care to know it.
[26:20] So outside Vrndavana... Just like Kuntidevi. Kuntidevi is not inhabitant of Vrndavana.
[26:31] She is inhabitant of Hastinapura, outside Vrndavana. The outside devotees,
[26:40] the devotees who are outside Vrndavana, they are studying the inhabitants of the Vrndavana,
[26:47] how great they are. But the inhabitants of Vrndavana, they don't care to know how great is Krsna.
[26:57] That is the difference. So our business is simply to love Krsna.
[27:06] The more you love Krsna, the more you become perfect.
[27:11] It is not that it is necessary to understand Krsna, how He has created.
[27:16] The things are mentioned there. Krsna is explaining Himself in the Bhagavad-gita-so much.
[27:24] Don't bother very much to know Krsna. That is not possible.
[27:28] Simply increase your unalloyed love for Krsna. That is perfection of life.
