Arrival Address,
September 8, 1972, Pittsburgh
[09:07] [Devotee 1:] We have made arrangements for many young students as well as press men
[09:10] to come and hear you speak, and we will be doing also the First Transcendental Exposition
[09:14] after you speak there this evening. This afternoon you can go to your quarters, and if you like, we can offer you prasadam.
[09:28] [Prabhupada:] So, and tomorrow morning we are planning?
[09:34] [Devotee 2:] We leave tomorrow morning. I'm not sure what the time.
[09:38] [Prabhupada:] Where is Syamasundara?
[09:46] [Devotee 2:] [indistinct]
[09:48] [Prabhupada:] Therefore I am asking, tomorrow morning, at what time we are going? [break]
[10:10] Narayana-para, devotees. Narayana is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
[10:23] Para means "who are attached to Narayana." Narayana-para, devotees of the Lord.
[10:35] Na kutascana bibhyati: they have no fear. All others, they are fearful
[10:45] what will happen in this world and next world. They do not believe that there is life after death.
[10:58] They do not know. And some of them who know there is life,
[11:08] utmost they know heavenly planets or hell.
[11:16] Just like in Christian religion it is said either hell or heaven.
[11:26] So there is admission of next life.
[11:31] If after death I am going to hell or heaven, so there is admission
[11:39] that there is life after death. That is nice.
[11:47] So narayana-para, those who are devotee, they do not distinguish what is hell or heaven,
[12:01] because their business is to chant Hare Krsna maha-mantra.
[12:14] Actually, a narayana-para devotee has nothing to do with hell and heaven,
[12:23] because hell and heaven, both of them are within this material world.
[12:35] The upper planetary system is called heaven, and the lower planetary system is called hell.
[12:48] But a narayana-para is not interested with any planetary system within the universe,
[13:01] because their situation is transcendental, Brahman. That is beyond this material universe.
[13:24] Mam ca 'vyabhicarena bhakti-yogena sevate, sa gunan samatityaitan brahma-bhūyaya kalpate [Bg. 14.26].
[13:37] All these planetary system, lower and higher or medium, they are within this universe,
[13:50] and their situation is calculated according to the three modes of material nature.
