syama-varna rakta-netra maha-bhayankara
dhanur-bana haste,--yena yama danda-dhara
SYNONYMS
syama-varnablackish color; rakta-netrareddish eyes; maha-bhayankaravery fearful bodily features; dhanuh-bana hastewith arrows and bow in hand; yena yama danda-dharaexactly like the superintendent of death, Yamaraja.
TRANSLATION
"The hunter's body was blackish. He had reddish eyes, and he appeared fierce. It was as if the superintendent of death, Yamaraja, was standing there with bows and arrows in his hands.
