বহুত উৎকণ্ঠা তাঁর, কর্যাছে বিনয় ।
তোমা-সনে এই সন্ধি, নাহি যুদ্ধ-ভয় ॥' ১৭৩ ॥
bahuta utkantha taṅra, karyache vinaya
toma-sane ei sandhi, nahi yuddha-bhaya'
bahuta-very much; utkantha-anxiety; taṅra-his; karyache-has made; vinaya-submissive petition; toma-sane-with you; ei-this; sandhi-a peace proposal; nahi-there is not; yuddha-bhaya-fear of fighting.
"The Mohammedan governor is very eager, and he has submitted this petition with great respect. It is a proposal for peace. You need not fear that we will fight."
