তাঁ সবার নাহি নিজসুখ-অনুরোধ ।
তথাপি বাড়য়ে সুখ, পড়িল বিরোধ ॥ ১৮৮ ॥
taṅ sabara nahi nija-sukha-anurodha
tathapi badhaye sukha, padila virodha
taṅ sabara-of all of them; nahi-not; nija-sukha-for their own happiness; anurodha-entreaty; tathapi-still; badhaye-increases; sukha-happiness; padila-happened; virodha-contradiction.
The gopis have no inclination for their own enjoyment, and yet their joy increases. That is indeed a contradiction.
