In Australia, metric measures are now used with the standard 250 milli-litre measuring cup. The teaspoon is the same in Australia,. New Zealand, Britain, and the United States. The Australian standard tablespoon, however, holds 20 ml, or 4 teaspoons the British tablespoon holds 3 1/2 teaspoons, and the American, Canadian, and New Zealand tablespoon holds only 3.
