Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Maharaja gave you the order to take this supreme science to the English-speaking countries of the West, and you expanded on the instructions to his ecstasy. On your order we are endeavoring to make Africa a "Black Vrndavana."

Every town and village here means a lifetime of engagement for this continent, so you have so mercifully guaranteed us full service for our idle minds and bodies. We, the above-mentioned. sankirtana party, are engaged in traveling sixty-five hundred miles throughout nine countries that have never seen a devotee of the Lord and certainly haven't rendered devotional service for quite some time. Owing to various political situations, we are experiencing great difficulty in crossing borders, and particularly into Africa itself. Krsna is eternal time, so He knows, but He is also the ability in man, so please, Srila Prabhupada, extract that ability from us. There are over fifty countries that we want to visit here in the next five years and try and plant a few seeds in each so we can select the very best countries and work on them.

You have said that your Guru Maharaja has arranged for so many of us, your disciples, to take birth in the West to help you carry on this mission of Caitanya Mahaprabhu; so similarly, Prabhupada, if you could arrange for some pious living entities to take birth in the right place in Africa, and then you guide us so we can open up Gurukula training centers in Africa, then local men can become Krsna conscious leaders. You have mentioned many times also that there is enough land to feed ten times more people on this planet, and Africa in particular has that potential. If we can set up model varnasrama farm communities, then the local people will quickly learn from the Vedic example, and then we feel we can offer whole nations to your lotus feet.

At this time we are engaged in the adventurous task of finding out by personal experience just how much we can do in each and every place, or if we can do anything at all. Please have a word in Radharani's ear, so She can use Her powerful influence on Sri Krsna, and if He wants then He will provide the laksmi and particularly the manpower for such an undertaking.
