Dear Srila Prabhupada,

We have neither the spiritual maturity nor the devotional inclination to enable us to fully realize, appreciate and relish the enormous transcendental achievement which you have so adroitly and audaciously accomplished against all odds and expectations. Actually, our adulation of you is so imperfect that we can never dare to hope that it is even remotely acceptable to your completely spiritualized lotus feet. Nonetheless, we humbly submit this written homage to you, flawed as it is with our material conceptions, in the hope that we ourselves will become purified and enlightened by this attempt to glorify the most inconceivably glorious personality of this or any other age. Srila Prabhupada, we thank you for having come here and moreover for the wonderful magnanimity which you have displayed by accepting us as your servants. Our only misfortune is that your magnificent form is no longer manifest before us. Still, it somehow seems to us that you have not entirely left us, and we take comfort in the following verse:

He lives forever by his divine instructions and the follower lives with him.
