How can we approach you,
you who are above this world.
How can we understand you,
you who are so pure.
How, Gurudeva, can we serve you,
for we are servants with no hands,
How will we ever see your love for Krsna,
for we are of the blind.
How can we ever please you,
for we are lame with troubled minds.
Your heart is an ocean of compassion
and you are flooding this whole world.
O Gurudeva, we are but the mud which fouls a river stream,
Yet you are taking us with you, this is above our dreams.
You have given us Vrndavana, the transcendental land.
You have given us the holy name of Krsna,
when will we understand.
We pray that you will guide us,
and free us from this world
Oh, Gurudeva, we are crying for your mercy
and pray for nothing more.
We are begging for your mercy,
give us Krsna and nothing more.
Many roads we have traveled,
but the have ended just the same.
But Gurudeva by your mercy,
you have given us the holy name.
Now we render service, hoping to be pure,
knowing Krsna's name to be the only cure.
Now we pray you guide us, may we chant the holy name.
Help us, help us, Gurudeva, for we are of the lame.
Srila Prabhupada, you have not only crossed the material nature but you are using it in spreading Lord Caitanya's movement beyond anyone's fathomable dreams. As a winter's snowfall covers the ground, so by your mercy you are laying a think blanket of krsna-prema throughout the world. There is no limit to your nature for it is of the divine.

Gurudeva! By a drop of your mercy, make this servant of yours humbler than a blade of grass. Giving me strength to bear all trials and troubles, make me devoid of all desires for personal honor.
O lord and master! Please give me the power to properly honor all living beings. Only then will I sing the holy name in great ecstasy and all my offenses cease.
O lord and master! When will this devotee, obtaining your mercy, become blessed? Devoid of all strength and intelligence, I am very low and fallen. Please make me your own servant.
Upon examining my value, I find that I have none; your mercy is essential to me. Therefore, if you are not merciful I will constantly weep and I will not maintain my life any longer.
