Srila Prabhupada, my dear and eternal Gurudeva, please accept my prostrated obeisances unto your lotus feet. At this time I would like to offer you my gratitude and respect. You have so kindly come, engaged in the Lord's mission, and picked me up out of a swamp of sinful activities and shown me the way to the clear and refreshing waters of devotional service. Only by Your Divine Grace have I been given this opportunity to salvage my useless life and make it into something valuable, something full of meaning. You are speaking the pure words of the Supreme Lord without personal interpretation, and thus you are empowered to change my life into one of submissive service unto Sri Krsna. You are my only connection with the Lord. Without you there would have been no possibility of my even knowing who Krsna is, what to speak of being given the opportunity to become purified and offer intimate and pleasing service unto Him. Of course due to my many offenses, I am very far from the standard of pure devotional service. But because of your shining and perfect example, I know of it, and by your mercy, someday in this lifetime I hope to achieve your mercy. Please forgive me for being deaf and blind in my attempts to hear your instructions submissively and to see how you want me to act. It is due only to my lack of intelligence that I do not fully understand the absolute necessity of giving up my material attachments and becoming Krsna conscious right now. If only I can realize that my eternal identity is that of being your surrendered servant, then the perfection of my life will be attained. I pray unto you, Srila Prabhupada; please give me the desire to surrender my whole existence, my mind, my words, my deeds, and all that I possess, unto you for your satisfaction. I fall at your lotus feet trying to make a sincere attempt to please you by becoming Krsna conscious. Please tolerate my offensive nature. Let me stay under your shelter and please don't kick me away.
