Stockholm
More enlightening than thousands of suns, you have benedicted the entire world by coming to the West to fulfill the desire of your spiritual master. There seems to be no proper way to express what you have done for us.
In all the ancient literatures of devotional service, the spiritual master is always considered to be either one of the confidential associates of Srimati Radharani or a manifested representation of Srila Nityananda Prabhu.
You are the most exalted person in all the universes, our great and dear master. You deliver the suffering living entities from the burning condition of life, just like a cloud pours water on a forest fire. This mercy of yours overfloods the entire universe with love of God.
You are an ocean of inestimable qualities. Your glories are immeasurable. What words or sentiments can do justice to your character? We can only pray that you will overlook our incompetence and allow us to continue our meager service to your lotus feet, with ever-increasing enthusiasm. Thus, perhaps we may one day help you, as you fulfill the prediction of Lord Caitanya, by flooding the depths of Maya's dungeon with the sanity which comes only from service to you and to the Lord, Sri Krsna.
Your mercy is so great that in spite of our wretched service you dispel little by little the thick darkness of our ignorance. You are certainly the only being in this universe that can bring peace and happiness. Your unique strength can arrest the effects of Kali-yuga. Please accept us at your lotus feet so we may serve you forever.
Your causeless mercy has given us the hope to find with joy and confidence the relationship that binds us to Sri Krsna, even in this phenomenal world.
The shadow of your lotus feet refreshes our hearts from the burning fire of material life. They are the rivers that fill up the reservoir of eternal nectar. You are the compassion of the Lord, the saviour of the conditioned souls. All glories to you, Srila Prabhupada.
We offer thousands of respectful homages to the lotus feet of our spiritual master. You are the most confidential servitor of the Lord, and we are the most fallen souls. We have no idea of your real greatness, but nonetheless we ask your mercy; allow us to stay in the shadow of your lotus feet.
You are the transcendental embodiment of perfection in service to the Lord, who cannot be understood by simply studying the Vedas, nor by undergoing severe penances, nor by charity, nor by worship, but only by pure loving service and devotion to your lotus feet.
You are as good as the Personality of Godhead; because your association is transcendental to everyone and everything. Just by seeing you or hearing you, everyone in His service is given enlightenment and enthusiasm. No one can really describe your auspiciousness. Following in the footsteps of your spiritual master, you have released a flood of love of Krsna throughout the whole world, and it will steadily drown the universe in Krsna consciousness. O Gurudeva, how can we glorify you with our frog-like tongues, so contaminated with material filth?
We cannot understand you, nor the transcendental abode where you come from. But by your incomparable kindness you have opened our eyes. Now we can see that we have been cheated by so-called advancement and sense gratification, and have been thus led into the darkest ignorance and frustration.
Before your merciful eyes there is no difference between a professor and a streetsweeper, a black man and a white man. There is no scarcity of conditioned souls like ourselves, but you have the strength and the enthusiasm to deliver us all.
Please, Srila Prabhupada, you are our only shelter. Please give us the shade of your lotus feet, so that the arms of the illusory energy, and the hindrances on the devotional path will never reach us.
Just as Lord Caitanya made the tigers and snakes chant the holy name, so you have come to preach to us, even though we were living lower than hogs and dogs.
Dear Srila Prabhupada, you are like a parent. Without the attentive service of his parent, a child cannot grow to manhood. Similarly, without the care of the spiritual master one cannot rise to the plane of transcendental service.
Please let us assist you in spreading this sahkirtana movement everywhere. We are offering our danḍavats to your transcendental lotus feet.
