"The Golden Moon of Srila Prabhupada is Rising"
Krsna says in the eleventh canto of the Srimad-Bhagavatam; "My dear Uddhava, the spiritual master must not only be accepted as My representative but as My very self." Your Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is thirty-second in the line of the Madhva-Gauḍiya sampradaya, the disciplic chain of spiritual masters descending from Lord Krsna Himself. We, your sin-ridden children of Sri Caitanya Mayapurdhama, the transcendental abode of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, taking great pleasure in lying down like a stick in the dust at your lotus feet.
We admit that we do not understand the glories of Sri Caitanya. But we accept the lotus feet of the Pancatattwa just because it is pleasing to you. Srila Narottama dasa Thakur says;
ei chaya gosani yahra--mui tahra dasa
tah-sabara pada-renu mora panca-grasa
tah-sabara pada-renu mora panca-grasa
"I simply accept a person who follows in the footsteps of the Six Gosvamis, and the dust of such a person's lotus feet are my foodstuff." (Cc. Adi, 8.7)
The six Gosamis, Sri Rūpa, Sri Sanatana, Sri Raghunatha Bhatta, Sri Raghunatha dasa, Sri Jiva, Sri Gopala Bhatta were prolific writers of glorious books which eternally enliven all the sincere souls throughout the universe. Srila Prabhupada, out of compassion and duty, you have continued to write books in order to please Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Lord Krsna, in Bhagavad-gita, first distinguishes the spirit soul from gross matter, and in conclusion takes us to the pint of full surrender, in devotion to the Supreme Person. Now, you have kindly given us Caitanya Caritamrta, the most advanced glorification of God, yet we are still floundering on the sensual and mental platforms. We thank you, Srila Prabhupada, for all these nectarine books, which are gradually captivating our minds. Previous to reading them we had not even information or direction on why or how to submit ourselves at your lotus feet. Who, other then yourself, could write such books?
According to the sastra and the past acaryas, only a pure devotee of the Lord like yourself could perform such miraculous work. We can understand from the teaching of Srila Krsnadas Kaviraja Goswami how you are doing this. As Srila Krsnadas says that his writing is actually the dictation of Sri Madana Mohan, so your writing is actually the dictation of Sri Krsna. As Srila Krsnadas has done, so you are sitting with the Lord, writing authoritative instructions on how to serve in the kingdom of God.
Somehow or other we find our insignificant selves rendering some small service to you here in your Sri Mayapur Candradaya Mandir. Lord Caitanya's moon rises to the east of the building. At Srivas Angham, Krsna Caitanya is dancing, and it is from here that He is kindly distributing the rays of the samkirtana benediction moon. We see that this moon is your moon, because it is yours to give. What greatness you must possess; the Supreme Lord has chosen you to be the present acarya. It is said that Sri Candradev mercifully sheds light on the canḍala and divine alike. Similarly, you are claiming us as your children, although we are fools, knaves, rascals and assassins. We are killers of the soul. On the northern side of Their Lordships Sri-Sri Radha-Madhava is the Yogapitha of Sri Gaurasundara. We who are just like coal, after repeated washings, and who are always committing offenses, thank you Srila Prabhupada, for having taken the Lord's Yogapitha with you across the ocean. Sridham Mayapur is always golden, and we see that you also have the golden touch, for everywhere you go you turn that place into Chintamoni-dham, the kingdom of Sri Krsna. On the western front lies the Ganges, which is mixed with the dust of the lotus feet of the Lord and tulasi leaves:
And to the south is the Jalangi, which is glorified by the presence of His Divine Grace Srila Thakur Bhaktivinode. We feel confident that Srila Bhaktivinode's desire for a transcendental city at Sri Mayapur is already in the beginning stages, because you are trying to fulfill that desire. Your desire is no different than Krsna's desire. We beg that we may hold on tight to, and always remember, your lotus feet, whether in happy or distressed conditions of life. Furthermore we pray to be always engaged in your transcendental service, and to be always pleasing to you.
