Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept our worthless obeisances at your most sanctified lotus feet. Srila Narottama dasa Thakura sung;

sri-guru-carana-padma, kevala-bhakati-sadma,
bando mui savadhana mate

"The lotus feet of our spiritual master are the only repositories of devotion. I bow down before him in great awe and reverence."

For many miserable births in this material world we have been vainly searching for happiness. During this search we have attached ourselves to so many different masters and rendered service in so many different ways to the ultimate mistress of the material world, Mayadevi. In this way all of our energy has been uselessly wasted, and we have remained unsatisfied. In such a bewildered condition we have somehow or other become fortunate enough to be attracted to the transcendental message of Lord Caitanya, delivered by you, Srila Prabhupada, and thus we have been rescued.

By hearing this message with submissive attention we have come to understand that you, as the bonafide representative of Sri Krsna, are our real master, for who we have been searching after birth after birth. Let us now serve you with all the devotion we are able to muster, for your lotus feet are the only shelter from the path of birth and death. Let us cling to the protection of Your Divine Grace lest we are again cast amongst the false masters of the material world. Let us bow down repeatedly before you, our eternal savior, for you are to be worshipped as Sri Krsna Himself is worshipped. If we can simply serve you steadfastly, giving all our attention to the fulfillment of your desires, being pleased with us, you will give us what only you are able to give-Krsna! Therefore we pray to Him that we may become content simply to remain the eternal servants of Your Divine Grace, the saviour of the western world.
