Dear Srila Prabhupada,
Please accept our prostrated obeisances at your lotus feet. You are the most glorious personality and you are the savior of the entire world. From your lotus mouth emanates the knowledge which destroys all the ignorance of this material world.
It is by your mercy that we, as disciples, make advancement in devotional service. Therefore we are constantly begging for you to be merciful unto us. Our fervent prayer is, "Please give us the shade of your lotus feet." As a tree provides soothing shade to whomever steps underneath I, similarly you provide soothing shade from the heat of material life to whomever steps underneath your divine instructions, i.e. to chant sixteen good rounds and follow the four regulative principles. "Crooked" means to disregard these instructions. We will never feel separate from you, Srila Prabhupada, so long as we stay simple.
"He lives forever by his divine instructions and the follower lives with him."
