HARIDASPUR
He reasons ill who tells that Vaisnavas die
when thou art living still in sound!
The Vaisnavas die to live, and living try
to spread the holy name around.
-Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura
(This verse is placed upon the samadhi of Srila Haridasa Thakura in Sri Purusottama-ksetra, Jagannatha Puri.)
The passing of a Vaisnava like our namacarya Srila Haridasa Thakura, and like our Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja Prabhupada, is a moment of intense emotional ecstasy, of contradictory feelings, of inconceivable separation and meeting. But like Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who was brought to Kuruksetra to see Lord Jagannatha and lost His Krsna of Vrndavana, thus experiencing divyonmada, transcendental madness in separation from Krsna, it is our duty to understand it as far as possible.
krpa kari' krsna more diyachila sahga

"Being merciful upon Me, Krsna gave Me the association of Haridasa Thakura. Being independent in His desires, He has broken that association." (Cc. Antya 11.94)
Such is the moment of millennium where the torrents of rain during our Bengali Asaḍha-Sravana season try to separate us from the order of Srila Prabhupada, O Thakura, O Govinda. In such a moment of separation, one's final meeting is crystallized into the ever-fresh parampara.
From a corner of West Bengal, at Thakura Haridasa's holy sitting place, with our flag of tulasi strong and high above the Nayana-bhahga River, we see in the distance the shape of great devotion in reviving these holy spots. By the remarkable tolerance of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja Prabhupada, our crown jewel, and his ability to electrify a band of mlecchas into a row of valuable jewels, let us dance out into the streets with our sastras, into the jungles with our prasada relief, claiming every tirtha like Thakura Haridasa Sripat, Panihati, Lord Nityananda's Ekacakra village, Ramakeli, etc. Let us unit again, O Gauḍiya Vaisnava brothers! O Sri Krsna Caitanya!
In such a mood of separation, let the three worlds learn the lesson ISKCON has learned: "There is such wonderful power in seeing A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja Prabhupada!"
The imitation devotees of Thakura Haridasa Sripat Haridaspur.
