Srila Prabhupada, your mercy like our fortune is inconceivably unlimited. Really we have no qualification to be worthy of the dust of your lotus feet; neither do we have in our stock any truly pious activity. Therefore, it is just because of our inconceivable good luck (which is due, indeed, to the causeless mercy of the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna), that our way was met with yours, and it is only because of your infinite causeless mercy that you kindly have picked us up from the filthy bog of sinful life; therefore, on this most auspicious day, we bow to your lotus feet and we implore you:

Please O our eternal father, O our lord and master birth after birth, don't allow that we become bewildered and captivated by the illusory energy (maya) of the Lord, in such a way that we forget the constant service to your lotus feet. We do not dare even to ask you that you remove the reactions of our sinful activities; simply we are begging that you allow us to develop a strong attachment to the service of your divine lotus feet and the ability to remember our eternal indebtedness to you,

Let all the universe sing the glories of patita-pavana, our beloved spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
