Your words
Once they've struck the heart
Of the innocent victim
are like the venom
that subtly cuts material life
short !
It is as if
in your presence
the incessant flow
Of material desires
Had no choice
than to stop
Even momentarily

My eyes weep
'cause they can't see you
and when my eyes
behold you
my heart quivers and throbs
and desperately cries
'cause my hands
long to touch your lotus feet
but due to my insignificant condition
I cannot reach you.
It is as if
In your presence
The incessant flow
of material desires
had no other choice
Than to stop
even if for a moment.
