Caracas

When you were in Caracas, Srila Prabhupada, you made a statement that Caracas is a Sahkirtana Temple. We have been trying to fulfill this statement by dedicating our lives to the preaching of Krsna consciousness here in Venezuela.

I remember in your room in Mayapur this year, many devotees were informing you of different activities of ISKCON around the world. We introduced our top distributor to you, and you remarked, "Yes, he has the mercy of Krsna." Then you continued by stating that actually everyone has the mercy of Krsna, but in one sense the preaching of Krsna consciousness is higher:

na ca tasman manusyesu kascin me priya-krttamaḥ
bhavita na ca me tasmad anyaḥ priyataro bhuvi
Bg 18.69

"There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than him, nor will there ever be one more dear." Because actually you are the one who is doing the preaching, you are the most dear to Krsna.

bharata-bhūmite haila manusya janma yara
janma sarthaka kari' kara para-upakara
Adi 9.41

"One who has taken birth as a human being in the land of India should make his life successful, and work for the benefit of all other people." This is the instruction given by Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and you have taken up this mission with full faith in your guru-maharaja. You have shown us that our real home is also in the transcendental land of Bharata-varsa, in the transcendental dhamas of Mayapur and Vrndavana. Therefore we must also accept this instruction of Lord Caitanya as applying to ourselves. Therefore we should dedicate our lives to spreading your words to every town and village in the universe. Actually everyone is a resident of these transcendental dhamas, and you have made it our duty to reveal this to the world.

Therefore you have so many projects; book distribution, temple construction in India, food distribution, farm projects throughout the world, and many others; and all of these projects have one aim, to fulfill the desire of your guru-maharaja by gradually introducing everyone to Krsna consciousness and providing occupations for all classes of men under Krsna's varnasrama-dharma system so that everyone can go back to home, back to Godhead.

Krsna states in the Bhagavad-gita that the wise should not disturb the ignorant in their performance of vikarmic activities (Bg. 3.29), but you are more kind than Krsna Himself, so we pray that you may benedict us with an atom of your infinite compassion for the conditioned souls, that we may be pleasing to you.

tahale ananda hoy tabe hoy digvijay
caitanyer krpa atisay
maya dusta jata duḥkhi jagate sabai sukhi
vaisnaver iccha pūrna hoy

"As the vast mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu conquers all directions, a flood of transcendental ecstasy will certainly cover the land. When all the sinful, miserable living entities become happy, the Vaisnava's desire is then fulfilled."

So please, Srila Prabhupada, let us become the instruments for fulfilling this desire of yours wherever you send us.
