O glorious master,
all praises to thee
You give eyes to the blind
and melt hearts of steel.

We were in Kali's deep well
given up hope
But kindness has come in person
you've passed us the rope.

O follower of the Gosvamis.
You are their mercy-bearer
One moment's touch with thee
is the most precious elixer
(the nectar of immortality).

Habituated to the false,
we are addicts of poison
As servants of lust
we are bereft of good reason.

Therefore we must now beg
as drowning men cry
Please give us your lamp
guide us through the night.

All souls are wandering
aimless and amiss
This rare life squandering
hell's in our midst.

The jewel of human life
lies in the camp of jackals
But as a lion you strike
reclaim the booty for Krsna.

Your Hanuman-like challenge
rings everywhere true and bold
All pious men awaken
and at your lotus feet take hold.

As at Kuruksetra's destined battle
Krsna's foes did quake
So the false bottom of science
You have given a fatal shake.

Let every fool or sage
follow your guiding glances
The world you can engage
in devotional service, the matchless gift.

The measure of your love
in eternity can't be found
Yet such selfless pure love
in your divine books is bound.
