With the passing of each day, the vision of the newborn child expands. At first everything is unclear; then vague forms appear. Soon he is able to recognize that there are special people who always are concerned with his welfare. In this way he comes to know his father and mother as his security and protection. O beloved Gurudeva, you have taken us under your protection as your own children. At first we could not see what your exalted position was. But you gently opened our eyes with your divine knowledge and love, and soon it became clear that you were our eternal father, master and protector. As we watch your books appear, like golden waves emanating from your lotus mouth, you establish within our hearts the irrevocable faith that you are the Supreme Personality of Servitor Godhead. Merciful Srila Prabhupada, I am such a low fool that I do not even qualify to look upon your lotus feet. Still you are so kind that you have personally instructed me on so many different occasion-even in the privacy of your personal quarters.

I pray to Sri-Sri Gaura-Nitai that my mind be always overflowing with your divine instructions and that I become more and more attached to serving your lotus feet, as a person is attached to his very breath.
