Bhagavān dāsa adhikārī

Bhagavan dasa adhikari
Merciful and Beloved Spiritual Master,
You have handed me the lifeline of devotional service, but I am so weak that I can hardly hold on. My persistent desire to enjoy this material world weighs heavily upon me though I see the teeth of samsara snapping at my face.
The mind and senses wait like starving wolves, watching for my intelligence to stray from the shelter of your lotus feet. They challenge me day and night and mock at my determination.
Prabhupada, I know you as my only shelter. If I forget you for just a moment, I feel myself transforming again into a demon.
Bless me that I may always feel your presence near me, that I may, without doubt or speculation, do as you would like me to do, speak as you would speak, and teach as you would teach.
You are the touchstone of Krsna bhakti and I am overflowing with passion and ignorance. Please change my mad desires from this material world into genuine attachment to your lotus feet.
Your presence enlivens the transcendental senses of the soul. The ecstasy of my tongue is to chant your glories and taste the remnants of your prasada. The ecstasy of my eyes is to see you singing and dancing in kirtana. The ecstasy of my ears is to hear you explain the message of Lord Krsna.
I am your eternal servant. If I may ask for something I beg to be able to remember your instructions wherever I am. You are the personified glory of the Lord's lotus feet. Please keep me somewhere safe in the petals of your lotus toes and take me with you.
