Dearest Srila Prabhupada,
Our dear father, Srila Prabhupada, please accept our most worthless obeisances at your soothing and cooling lotus feet. You are the only source of honey where we may find flowing love for Krsna, in His sweet and holy name. Oh, you are like the dove who flies to the blooming apple tree, cradled in Krsna's love, there where you want us to be. But we, are worthless, like beggars who steal and have no thanks for your gifts. You have brought pure Caitanya prema, golden love of Krsna, and sing sweet songs of Lord Dinabandhu, the friend of the most fallen. Let us offer our respectful obeisances to you, who are our only hope. As the sun lights up the day, so you light our hearts with your mercy. As a surabhi cow pours forth abundances of milk, so you flood this dark world with your presence. Out of kindness you are plucking fallen souls from the ocean of the material whirlpool and turning them into pure devotees. You alone are our dear firend, awaiting with outstretched arms for us to step up toward you. Joy in Krsna you are giving us, love for the Supreme. One glance from your eyes that we have seen awakens us from maya's dream.
Let us pray, our dear father Prabhupada, may you please engage us in your service, may you never let us fall away. Let us pray, our dear father Prabhupada, that our eyes closed shut by the deep sleep of darkness be awakened to behold your mercy. And when will our eyes be decorated with tears of love flowing constantly, just remembering your merciful mission? We pray, our dear father Prabhupada, that we may somehow become your servants faithfully, transformed for eternity. Just help us to broadcast your glories by preaching the divine command, until there's never even a soul who hasn't your books in his hand.
