Dear Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, at whose lotus feet we are all able to find shelter from maya's strong influences. On behalf of the very nice association of my Prabhus here, and also speaking for myself, I'm wishing to express our sincere pardons for sending in this Vyas Pūja Offering so late. Prabhupada is so very kind and lenient and understanding of the fallen condition of the conditioned souls in this Kali-yuga, on account of his determination and unwavering faith in the execution of the will of the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The benediction of this Sahkirtana Movement of Lord Caitanya's is causelessly being showered upon the masses of peoples all around the world, and the credit is all due to His Divine Grace, yet he is so merciful that he allows the lowest of mankind to take advantage of this downpour from the ocean of mercy of love of Godhead, and thus be elevated to the highest status of devotional service and receive the credit so undeservingly. So we do sincerely offer our prostrated obeisances unto the lotus feet of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, all the Vaisnavas, Lord Caitanya and his associates and to the lotus feet of His Lordship Sri Sri Radha and Krsna, who are all so magnanimous in their bestowing this eternal engagement of glorification through the processes of chanting the holy names of the Lord and honoring the transcendental remnants of refreshments offered to the Lord.

We must try to remember all the causeless mercy Srila Prabhupada is bestowing upon us. Then we should try to distribute this mercy to everyone. This will make Prabhupada happy and pleased with us. We, the three brahmacaries here, do a good deal of street Sahkirtana, setting up with a table displaying the books of His Divine Grace, chanting the Lord's names and circulating with book bags full of Back to Godheads up and down a four block area of Santa Barbara's busiest downtown section. We have found very good results in distributing this Krsna consciousness at shopping centers in Santa Barbara and many other nearby towns as well. As Srila Prabhupada says, "We must be sincere in our activities; then success will be there," so we must be very humble and sincere in our service to Srila Prabhupada, showing how nice Lord Caitanya's movement is, and then we will realize that this knowledge is better than any book knowledge or intelligence.

The student community of the University of California at Santa Barbara is receiving transcendental sound vibrations every Monday morning at 10:30 when the ISKCON Radio Program goes on the air. We have also established Public Service Announcements on other local radio stations in our area. This has proven to be somewhat effective in attracting people to the love feasts on Sunday and occasionally our guests for Bhagavad-gita classes mention hearing about our program from radio announcements. Sahkirtana is augmented often with special engagements such as speaking at clubs, at private schools, public schools, and sometimes small groups of curious inquirers. This is beneficial for the displaying of Prabhupada's books, distributing the Lord's prasadam and helping us to become surrendered as we try to utilize Lord Caitanya's weapon for fighting this age by preaching this knowledge to the people who are suffering due to indulgence in the four degrading sinful activities of meat eating, intoxication, illicit sex life and gambling. And by always chanting Hare Krsna everywhere people will gradually understand, for it is said by Lord Caitanya and Prabhupada confirms it. Simply and efficiently we must spread this Krsna consciousness for the benefit of all mankind.

We are so fortunate to be able to receive this knowledge from Srila Prabhupada, who has so kindly come here and accepted us as his disciples, even though we have no qualifications. We do not have the feeling for His Divine Grace that we should, but we are praying that in the future we will be able to give him all the respect he is due, and beg at his lotus feet for his special mercy upon us.
