evam stutah sura-ganair
bhagavan harir isvarah
tesam avirabhud rajan
sahasrarkodaya-dyutih
SYNONYMS
sri-sukah uvacaSri Sukadeva Gosvami said; evamin this way; stutahbeing worshiped by prayers; sura-ganaihby the demigods; bhagavanthe Supreme Personality of Godhead; harihthe vanquisher of all inauspiciousness; isvarahthe supreme controller; tesamin front of Lord Brahma and all the demigods; avirabhutappeared there; rajanO King (Pariksit); sahasraof thousands; arkaof suns; udayalike the rising; dyutihHis effulgence.
TRANSLATION
Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said: O King Pariksit, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, being thus worshiped with prayers by the demigods and Lord Brahma, appeared before them. His bodily effulgence resembled the simultaneous rising of thousands of suns.
