atho surah pratyupalabdha-cetasah
parasya pumsah parayanukampaya
jaghnur bhrsam sakra-samiranadayas
tams tan rane yair abhisamhatah pura
SYNONYMS
sri-sukah uvacaSri Sukadeva Gosvami said; athothereafter; surahall the demigods; pratyupalabdha-cetasahbeing enlivened again by revival of their consciousness; parasyaof the Supreme; pumsahof the Personality of Godhead; parayasupreme; anukampayaby the mercy; jaghnuhbegan to beat; bhrsamagain and again; sakraIndra; samiranaVayu; adayahand others; tan tanto those demons; ranein the fight; yaihby whom; abhisamhatahthey were beaten; purabefore.
TRANSLATION
Sukadeva Gosvami said: Thereafter, by the supreme grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Hari, all the demigods, headed by Indra and Vayu, were brought back to life. Being enlivened, the demigods began severely beating the very same demons who had defeated them before.
