तृतीयं चानयन्मासं नवमे नवमे ऽहनि ।
अब्भक्ष उत्तमश्लोकम् उपाधावत्समाधिना ॥ ७४ ॥
trtiyam-the third month; ca-also; anayan-passing; masam-one month; navame navame-on each ninth; ahani-on the day; abbhaksah-drinking water only; uttamaslokam-the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is worshiped by selected verses; upadhavat-worshiped; samadhina-in trance.
In the third month he drank water only every nine days. Thus he remained completely in trance and worshiped the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is adored by selected verses.
