07--Conversation on Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 2.1.3

This is the business of the ordinary people. To sleep at night, either sleep or indulge in sex life. Nidraya hriyate naktam vyavayena ca va vayaḥ. In this way killing their duration of age. Diva carthehaya rajan kutumba-bharanena va. And during daytime, where is money, where is money, where is money, where is money? And if there is money then kutumba-bharanena va, to maintain the family, that is animal.

Dehapatya-kalatradisv: this body, apatya, apatya means-children. Dehapatya-kalatradi-and wife and etc. Kalatradisv atma-sainyesv-they are considered as soldier. This is a battlefield and everyone is fighting and the karmis, they are thinking, "They are my soldiers, this my body, my wife, my children, my friends, my country." And little, little extended. Dehapatya-kalatradisv atma-sainyesv-they are just like.. People are confident, "Oh if I am in danger my wife is there, my children are there, my friends are there, my country is there." So fighting it requires soldiers, so they are considered soldiers. The fighting living entities.

But he is seeing that his soldiers are dying but he's so mad that even if he sees, even though he is seeing, he does not see it. He sees that there was my father and they died, they could not protect me. So similarly I'm trying to get help from others, or I am trying to give help others so that they may be saved but death is so cruel nobody is saved. Tesam nidhanam pramatto pasyann api na pasyati, nidhanam means-destruction. Pasyann api-although he is seeing that everyone is dying in my all family members are died and all whom I am so much friendly, they will also die, I'll also die. This is not the process of protection.

Dehapatya-kalatradisv atma-sainyesv, tesam nidhanampramatta. Pramatta this word is pramatta; prakrsta-rūpena matta. Matta means just like when a drunkard, he forgets himself and talks and tiltering, similarly prakrsta-rūpena matta. Matta means one who does not understand the real situation. He is in his dream. That is called matta. All mad.

So tesam nidhanam-the annihilation of his so-called soldiers. He's sure but still he is so mad-pasyann api na pasyate. He sees his experience but still he does not, pasyann api na pasyati. Dehapatya-kalatradisv atma-sainyesv asatsv api. Mayara base yaccha bhese' khaccha [Gitavali. Sri nagara-kirtana 3.2]

In this way the waves of maya is flowing and we are being washed away in that way. Mayara base yaccha bhese' khaccha habuḍubu bhai-I'm struggling hard. The best thing is to somehow or other to remain fixed-up that, "I am eternal servant of God, Krsna, let me serve Krsna as far as possible and if He gives me protection then I am saved, otherwise I am washed away." He gives protection to His servants, to His surrendered souls. He gives protection to everyone, especially to the surrendered souls. This protection means to save him from the cycle of repeated birth and death.
