Garden Conversation, February, 1975, Caracas
[translated throughout by Hrdayananda]
[00:16] [Prabhupada:] ...by the resultant action of karma.
[00:27] Find out this verse [indistinct].
Morning Walk, February 1975, Caracas
[00:36] [Devotee:] They say that everything in the universe always goes to a disarrangement; it is disarranging, disorder.
[00:45] Everything in... The universe is tending towards the greatest disorder.
[00:51] But what they are experiencing is that everything, there is a big order that started one day,
[00:57] like this big order of all the laws they are seeing: the world going around, spinning, and the sun, and so many nice arrangement,
[01:04] this body, complicated machine. But they just won't ask, "What's the cause of that?"
[01:08] If everything goes to disorder, who started the order in the first place?
[01:13] They don't ask it. They just won't ask. Everyone raises this question. They just say, "We have no means of knowing that."
[01:21] [Prabhupada:] That means you are rascal. Because you have no means, you have no... [break]
[01:41] ... many patients in the hospital?
[01:44] [Devotee:] Yes.
[01:45] [Prabhupada:] Why do they not mention about them,
[01:48] and give them food? Will it be allowed? There are thousands of patients in many hospitals, they are starving.
[01:57] And go and supply them food. Why do they not go there?
[02:07] [Hrdayananda:] Because it is the order of the superior.
[02:10] [Prabhupada:] Eh? Whatever it may be, there is some reason for their starving.
[02:22] [Devotee 2:] Most people don't understand that suffering is allotted to people due to karma. They think that it is just some accident.
[02:31] [Prabhupada:] We see they are starving, voluntarily. The hippies, they are also starving.
[02:41] They have got enough food at home, but they are starving. Why?
[02:50] Why they do not go there?
[02:55] [Hrdayananda:] They become disgusted with their families.
[02:58] [Prabhupada:] Anyway, starving, there are many persons starving.
[03:12] The conclusion is the starving is one of the item of this material world. [break]
[03:27] Why they have got throughout the whole world there are so many persons, they are rotting in the jail? Why?
[03:42] [Devotee 2:] Because they are rascals.
[03:43] [Prabhupada:] Is it due to others' fault or his fault?
[03:48] [Devotee 2:] His fault.
[devotee making announcement]
[04:10] His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada will soon be getting here,
[04:15] and we are getting the temple ready for the occasion.
Garden Conversation, February, 1975, Caracas
[04:24] [Narrator:] ...private garden, he speaks with a well-known Venezuelan lawyer and a Dominican ambassador to Turkey.
[translated throughout by Hrdayananda]
[04:31] [Prabhupada:] So therefore the modern education, they're simply committing sinful activities.
[04:48] So nature's law is so strict, but we are walking on the grass
[04:55] and killing some ants and insects, so we are responsible.
[05:13] Therefore, unless we keep ourself busy in Krsna's business,
[05:20] we are becoming liable to be punished for so many criminal activities.
[05:39] Just like in your law, if somebody kills somebody else, he's punished.
[05:53] Man-made laws, they are made, if a man kills another man then he is punished,
[06:01] but if he kills an ant, he is not punished.
[06:13] But God-made laws is if you kill a man you are punishable, if you kill an ant you are punishable.
Morning Walk, February 1975, Caracas
[06:32] [Narrator:] His Divine Grace daily gives discourses on his morning walks about the value of human life and the purpose
[06:39] behind spiritual understanding. Disciples and friends, as well as important dignitaries from all parts of the world,
[06:48] put questions to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, and he explains very simply, from the highest platform
[06:55] of spiritual realization, the sublime nature of this sahkirtana movement of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
[07:03] [Prabhupada:] ...side by the sunshine.
[07:07] So one is saying, "This side is better than the other side." Although it is stool,
[07:15] because the up-side is dried, he says, "This is better side."
[07:20] Similarly, you have to die, but they think that dying out of starvation
[07:27] and motor accident is not good; dying in this way is good. But when you say "Stop death," they don't hear. [break]
[07:43] So where is contradiction? Everyone is being controlled.
[07:46] Where is contradiction?
[07:48] [Devotee:] In the sense they say..., one day they say one thing, one day they say something else.
[07:54] [Prabhupada:] That means rascal. That means rascal. [break]
[07:59] You cannot talk, because you have no knowledge.
[08:01] You say "perhaps," "maybe." What is the value of your knowledge?
[08:04] Don't talk.
[08:08] The monkey is very busy. You see? Whatever comes... [makes angry monkey noises]
[08:15] Unnecessary. And people will, in India, [Hindi] "Drive, drive, drive."
[08:24] But they think they are very busy, very important person. [break]
[08:39] [Hrdayananda:] [looking at crocodile] Very small brains, big mouth. [break] ...the people who work at the Press.
[08:55] [Prabhupada:] You have got nice arrangement for capturing, but no opportunity for capturing.
[09:09] [looking at crocodile] Male. This is male. No food. Inviting some of us. [break]
[09:37] The more you distribute, the more you become recognized.
[09:45] [Hrdayananda:] The more you distribute, the more you become recognized. [break]
[09:57] [Devotee:] But, like, the same teacher, I heard him saying this. He says this. He says,
[10:04] "There is no God. This is an invention of the necessity of mind."
[10:07] [Prabhupada:] Why do you die? Why do you die?
[10:14] [Devotee:] He says he is the most perfect. No one can make something better...
[10:18] [Prabhupada:] Where is perfection? Why do you die? You don't like to die.
[10:21] Where is perfection? Nobody wants to die. But it is sure that he will die.
[10:28] Where is perfection?
[10:30] [Devotee:] He says because of the fear of dying, one invents God. He is saying because...
[10:36] [Prabhupada:] Stop at this, then we shall not think of God.
Departure Lecture, February 25, 1975, Caracas
[10:40] [Prabhupada:] So you follow the advice as given by Rūpa Gosvami, utsahat.
[10:49] The first thing is enthusiasm, that "I must see Krsna."
[10:54] You are seeing Krsna. The Deity of Krsna and Krsna is nondifferent.
[11:00] But even personally you can see, simply we have to continue the enthusiasm.
[11:28] Enthusiasm means to take things very seriously, utsahad dhairyat, and patiently,
[11:35] although we are determined to go back to home, back to Godhead.
[11:41] So you should patiently follow the rules and regulation.
[12:02] So these are the six principles: endeavor..., I mean, enthusiasm, and firm determination,
[12:12] and patience, and executing the regulative principles-
[12:18] tat-tat-karma-pravartanat-and sato vrtteḥ means behavior must be very honest, no duplicity, and...
[12:31] Utsahad dhairyat tat-tat..., niscayat tat-tat-karma-pravartanat, and sato vrtteḥ,
[12:39] dealing must be very honestly, no hypocrisy, tat-tat-karma-pravartanat, and sadhu-sahga, and in the association of devotees.
[12:50] If you follow these six principles, namely enthusiasm, determination, patience,
[12:59] and executing the regulative principle, and keep yourself honest and
[13:06] in the association of devotees... If you follow... [break]
[13:10] ... receiving me in this temple, and I was very happy.
[13:16] So my request is that you continue your devotional service very faithfully
[13:27] and rigidly, then in this life you'll be able to see Krsna face to face.
[13:36] That is a fact.
