Get the Best Rooms

When I told Srila Prabhupada that I was leaving for the US to prepare for the conference, he said that I should go via Bombay and take up the best rooms in the Bombay Guest House for housing the Institute facilities. He said that because we have to invite and host very important people, I will have the first choice for the rooms. Whatever I feel, I can take for the Bhaktivedanta Institute. It will be in the new guest house building, not in the old building as was earlier discussed in Mayapur. At that time Bali Mardan Maharaja was GBC in Bombay, and the temple president was Giriraj Prabhu and Srila Prabhupada wrote a letter to be given to Giriraj and Bali Mardan asking them to give the best rooms to me. I came from Vrndavana to Bombay with that letter and gave it Giriraj Prabhu. Then, he and I selected a room on the first floor for my office, and also the rooms on the second floor that are used till today.
