Prabhupada: All the assembled Devotees and Mothers. Hari Sankirtan as predicted by Caitanya Mahaprabhu Prithivite achhe yata nagaradi gram sarvatra prachar haibe more nama, Caitanya Mahaprabhu says that all over the world, across all the villages and towns this Hari Kirtan should be preached and in order to preach this Hari Kirtan, it is the responsibility of Indians. Caitanya Mahaprabhu says

This generosity, this Sankirtan movement which we are trying to preach all over the world, this is the greatest generosity, there is no charity bigger than this. Everyone thinks that poor should be fed and the for the diseased hospitals should be opened, those who are ignorant for them opening college and schools, many such programs are there. But all these programs are temporary, but in reality what is the misery of the living entity, that should be understood, that in simple Bengali language one Vaisnava Poet says krsna bhuliya jiva bhoga vancha kare pasete maya japatiya dhare, when the living entity forgets Lord Krsna, because God and particle of God, part and the whole, mamai-vamso jiva-loke, the living entity is a particle of God, when this particle forgets God, that means it separated from the Whole, then his misery starts. Just like for example, it is explained in the Bhagavatam

Just like God's universal body, Brahmana is God's head, Kshatriya is God's hand, Vaisya is God's stomach and Sudra is God's legs. So it is not that legs are less important and the head is more important, by calculation, if one calculates according to our position, we have our hands, our legs and mouth also, if ones hands or legs are amputated a person can somehow or other live, but if the head is cut off then one is finished, then one is finished. In the world now a days all the living entities are there, but mostly they all are sudra kalau sūdra sambhava, kshatriya and brahmans are very less, from the point of view of quality catur-varnyam maya srstam guna-karma-vibhagasaḥ [Bg 4.13] that is why in the world,there is a need for Brahmans, then there will be peace, just like in a body if the head is cut off and thrown away then the body will be of no use, it will be dead body. In the scriptures also it is mentioned that

So if human society is existing, there should be four divisions to it, just like God says catur-varnyam maya srstam [Bg. 4.13] Brahman, Kshatriya and Vaisya then everything will work in order and if there is no Brahman, no Kshatriya and if there are only sudras and vaisyas, then how there will be order, that is why, in this world everyone wants peace and happiness, but the process to get peace and happiness they do not know. There is a solution to peace and happiness like God says

So human beings should be explained that if they want peace, then they should accept these three things what are those, that God is the proprietor of everything and God is the only enjoyer and God is the only friend of all, it is God only who give happiness to all, these three things if somebody understands then he can attain peace or else no, do not even speak of peace. Caitanya Mahaprabhu says

Bhukti means enjoyment that is our disease in the world we just want to enjoy, everyone Krsna bhuliya jiva bhoga vancha kare paceste maya japatiya dhare. So fruitive workers they only want enjoyment, they work hard day and night, they have no time at all, why are they working so hard they don't know, that is why God says mudha, ass, Na Mam Duskritina Mudha Prapadyante Naradhama, human life is meant to attain God, to establish connection with God, but only by working hard for money, bring money, bring money he is called mudha, why are they called mudha, just like an ass he bears lot of clothes of a washer man on his back, but not even a single cloth belongs to him, he only works hard day and night by bearing the load and in the evening he is given a little grass and he is satisfied and Rsabadeva also instructed his children

Like Pigs they also work hard day and night kastan kaman arhate, they work hard, they do sense gratification, that should not be the case with human life. Now a days in human society, I have seen this by travelling all over the world, everyone is unhappy, and they don't want to work so hard, they see that by working so hard what profit are we getting? My disciples are present here their fathers are very big personalities and they see that my father has earned a lot of money, but when he wants to sleep he needs sleeping pills, otherwise he is not able to sleep. So this material civilization is just to work hard like an ass, pig or a dog, that is not real life. Real life is tapo divyam putraka [SB 5.5.1], Perform austerities to reach God this is human life, So the qualification required to perform austerities is not there in Kaliyuga

Who will perform austerities, that is why Caitanya Mahaprabhu, one who purifies the fallen, incarnated in Kali yuga and explained a very simple method, it is this only Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare/ Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. Caitanya Mahaprabhu says Iha haite sarva-siddhi haibe tomara kali kale nama bina gati nahi, So the greatness of the name, the results are seen slightly in the western countries, but very nicely, like you see these young boys and girls in front of you, four years ago as per our standards they were all very sinful, because from the childhood they are thought, drink liquor, have illicit sex, eating meat is a daily affair, there it is thought that if a child is not given a piece of meat and powder then they will die, just like Mother Yasoda used to think that if Krishna is not fed with butter he will die, they think, that this meat powder if they do not eat, the point is from the start they are fed with meat, then slowly slowly as soon as he turns ten or twelve he starts smoking cigarette, and whatever other things are there for intoxication, now a days ganja everything, they are very confused they say they don't want all these things, they know that many of them are hippies, So this is the situation, in Bangladesh also you all know that everyone has left God and left studying Gita, Listening to Stories of God, this has become a secular state, schools are closed, then what will he do, he is listening to the story of Mamon and becoming Naxalite, that is why the instructions of scriptures are

One who does not posses Devotional service to God he has no value, he is useless, his life is useless, it has no worth, this is the principle, because, just like I explained earlier, the part and whole are integral, like Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaisya are like the head, hands, legs and belly. All these parts of our body, now see when I am speaking my hands are also working, this is the healthy state of hands, when it moves according to my desire, it is the duty of the part that as I am desiring at that time, my hand is moving, sometimes it goes up and down, this is their healthy state and my desire is that my fingers comes a little above but it cannot come, there is some pain, by some way it cannot come, then that is not its healthy state. Similarly living entity is a part of the Supreme Lord, when it does not serve the Lord, then one must understand that it is diseased that is called maya. Until one is not engaged in service of the Lord, till that time one must understand that it is under the control of maya. The principle of Bhagavatam is, what is the meaning of liberation, Liberation means, svarūpena avasthiti, hitva anyatha-rūpam, Sva-rūpena vyavasthitiḥ that is called liberation. For liberation there is no need to do some special thing, because those who are devotees, for them liberation is standing at their service with folded hands. muktiḥ mukulitanjali sevate asman, So for devotees liberation is not a very big thing just like Ciatanya Mahaprabhu says janmani janmanisvare bhavatad bhaktir ahaituki tvayi [Cc Antya 20.29], if there is birth then one is not liberated, but what is the need to become liberated. Those who are engaged in the service of God he was liberated three thousand years ago itself, God himself says,

He realizes Brahman immediately, he becomes a Brahmana, Brahman janati iti brahmana, One who is a devotee he attains stature of Brahmana very before, Those who are Vaisnavas they attain the stature of Brahmana before, Brahman janati iti brahamana and God says brahma bhuyaya kalpate, Brahman knowledge, aham brhamasmi he gets all knowledge, that is why in reality in order to make human being happy, if there is any process, if everyone wants peace, like Caitanya Mahaprabhu says krsna bhakta niskama ataeva santa [Cc. Madhya 19.149], he has no desires, why there will be any desires, one who is in contact with God what is the use of any other desire. Just like, a small boy, he lives under the shelter of his father, then what need is there for him to ask for anything, Father knows everything that what time he should be fed, what time he should be given clothes everything yoga-ksemam vahamy aham [Bg 9.22], God takes charge of him, that is why scriptures say tasyaiva hetoḥ prayateta kovido na labhyate yad bhramatam upary adaḥ [SB 1.5.18], one should try for that think in ones life which is not available either in heavenly planets, planet of Brahma or in hellish planets, what is that thing that is devotional service to God, try for that if one wants to be happy and if one says I have to leave everything for devotional service, there is no question of leaving everything, that is foolishness. Arjuna was going to fight before understanding Bhagavad Gita and after understanding Bhagavad Gita also he fought, where is the question to leaving anything, only his consciousness was changed, before he was thinking that if I kill all my brothers and my grandfather, then what is the use of such politics, Krsna I will not fight he sat down, Krsna explained him the Bhagavad Gita and after explaining Bhagavad Gita, Krsna is asking What do you think? Do you want to fight or go away from here? Arjuna said karisye vacanam tava, nasto mohaḥ smrtir labdha [Bg. 18.73] So this is Krsna consciousness, all the thoughts that we have concocted, by discarding all those thoughts and only thoughts that will satisfy Krsna, in that only one can find happiness, just like gopis they did not have any other thought, only one thing, how should Lord Krsna be satisfied, this it the only thought, Caitanya Mahaprabhu also has the same thought, only devotional service na dhanam na janam na sundarim kavitam va jagad-isa kamaye I don't want all these things mama janmani janmanisvare bhavatad bhaktir ahaituki, ahaituki bhakti, not to make some profit from God, not like keeping God for earning money and satisfy ones stomach, No not that kind of devotional service, that is not pure devotion, it is there, God says sukritina Arjuna, they are called pious, but one who is a pure devotee, he is

This the is best devotional service, only following God's orders, following orders is explained by Rupa Goswami, one should work for it, what does God want, one should think what God wants, what God wants is open to all, God says Sarva dharman paritajya, mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg 18.66], so one who does this and those who explain it to others that perform devotional service to Krsna, they become representatives of God, whatever God wishes only that they will speak, they will not speak anything hodge podge. Krsna says worship me, and devotee says worship Krsna that is why Devotees are very dear to the Lord na ca tasman manusyesu kascin me priya-krttamaḥ [Bg. 18.69], there is no body dear to me other than those, who try to explain my words to others, so Caitanya Mahaprabhu says the same thing,

This is the duty of every Indian, why have we left it and are sitting, this is not proper, that is why this Krsna Consciousness movement that we have started, it is required that all of you contribute by Pranair arthair dhiya vaca, life, money, mind and words if you want auspiciousness in the world and if you want to mix devotional service to Krsna and other things here and there, then there will be no profit in that, those who says that take Krsna's name or Kali's name or Durga's name everything is one, No, harer nama, harer namaiva kevalam, these are the injunctions in the scriptures, Sravanam kirtanam visnoḥ of nobody else

These are the nine processes of devotional service, God himself says kamais tais tair hrta-jnana yajante anya-devataḥ [Bg. 7.20], antavat tu phalam tesam tad bhavaty alpa-medhasam [Bg. 7.23], only Krsna, only one, mam ekam, this is the movement, you all participate in this, you will prosper and world will prosper.
