পাছে যবে হুসেন-খাঁ গৌড়ে 'রাজা' হইল ।
সুবুদ্ধি-রায়েরে তিঁহো বহু বাড়াইল ॥ ১৮৯ ॥

pache yabe husena-khaṅ gaude 'raja' ha-ila

subuddhi-rayere tiṅho bahu badaila

SYNONYMS

pache-later; yabe-when; husena-khaṅ-Hussain Khan; gaude-in Bengal; raja ha-ila-was appointed Nawab, or governor, by the central Mohammedan government; subuddhi-rayere-unto Subuddhi Raya; tiṅho-he; bahu badaila-increased the opulences.

TRANSLATION

Later Hussain Khan somehow or other was appointed Nawab by the central Mohammedan government. As a matter of obligation, he increased the opulences of Subuddhi Raya.
