জ্যোতিশ্চক্রে সূর্য যেন ফিরে রাত্রি-দিনে ।
সপ্তদ্বীপাম্বুধি লঙ্ঘি' ফিরে ক্রমে ক্রমে ॥ ৩৮৭ ॥

jyotiscakre surya yena phire ratri-dine

sapta-dvipambudhi laṅghi' phire krame krame

SYNONYMS

jyotih-cakre-in the zodiac; surya-of the sun; yena-as; phire-moves; ratri-dine-the day and night; sapta-dvipa-ambudhi-the oceans of the islands; laṅghi'-crossing; phire-rotates; krame krame-one after another.

TRANSLATION

"The sun moves across the zodiac day and night and crosses the oceans between the seven islands one after the other.
