ঘটে ঘটে ঠেকি' কত ঘট ভাঙ্গি' গেল ।
শত শত ঘট লোক তাহাঁ লঞা আইল ॥ ১১০ ॥

ghate ghate theki' kata ghata bhaṅgi' gela

sata sata ghata loka tahaṅ lana aila

SYNONYMS

ghate ghate theki'-when there was a collision between one pot and another; kata-so many; ghata-pots; bhaṅgi' gela-became broken; sata sata-hundreds of; ghata-pots; loka-people; tahaṅ-there; lana-bringing; aila-came.

TRANSLATION

Many of the waterpots were broken when people collided with one another, and hundreds of men had to bring new waterpots to fill.
