সিংহদ্বারে গাভী-আগে সেই ভাত ডারে ।
সড়া-গন্ধে তৈলঙ্গী-গাই খাইতে না পারে ॥ ৩১৬ ॥

simha-dvare gabhi-age sei bhata ḍare

saḍa-gandhe tailahgi-gai khaite na pare

SYNONYMS

simha-dvare-at the gate known as Simha-dvara; gabhi-age-in front of the cows; sei bhata-that food; ḍare-they throw; saḍa-gandhe-because of a rotten smell; tailahgi-gai-the cows from Tailahga; khaite na pare-cannot eat.

TRANSLATION

All the decomposed food is thrown before the cows from Tailahga at the Simha-dvara gate. Because of its rotten odor, even the cows cannot eat it.
