শুনি' সভাসদের চিত্তে হৈল চমৎকার ।
'সত্য কহে গোসাঞি, দুঁহার করিয়াছে তিরস্কার' ॥ ১২৮ ॥

suni' sabha-sadera citte haila camatkara

'satya kahe gosani, duhhara kariyache tiraskara'

SYNONYMS

suni'-hearing; sabha-sadera-of all the members of the assembly; citte-in the minds; haila-there was; camatkara-wonder; satya-the truth; kahe-said; gosani-Svarūpa Damodara Gosvami; duhhara-of both; kariyache-has done; tiraskara-offense.

TRANSLATION

Hearing this explanation, all the members of the assembly were struck with wonder. "Svarūpa Damodara Gosvami has spoken the real truth," they admitted. "The brahmana from Bengal has committed an offense by wrongly describing Lord Jagannatha and Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu."
