'রঘুনাথের পাদপদ্মে বেচিয়াছোঁ মাথা ।
কাড়িতে না পারোঁ মাথা, পাঙ বড় ব্যথা ॥ ৪০ ॥

'raghunathera pada-padme veciyachoṅ matha

kadite na paroṅ matha, paṅa bada vyatha

SYNONYMS

raghu-nathera-of Lord Ramacandra; pada-padme-at the lotus feet; veciyachoṅ matha-I have sold my head; kadite-to take away; na paroṅ-I am unable; matha-the head; paṅa-I get; bada vyatha-too much pain.

TRANSLATION

" 'I have sold my head at the lotus feet of Lord Ramacandra. I cannot take it away. That would be too painful for me.
