হরিদাস কহেন, - "নামের এই দুই ফল নয় ।
নামের ফলে কৃষ্ণপদে প্রেম উপজয় ॥ ১৭৮ ॥

haridasa kahena,-"namera ei dui phala naya

namera phale krsna-pade prema upajaya

SYNONYMS

haridasa kahena-Haridasa Thakura replied; namera-of chanting the holy name of the Lord; ei-these; dui-two; phala-results; naya-are not; namera phale-by the result of chanting the holy name; krsna-pade-at the lotus feet of Krsna; prema upajaya-awakening of ecstatic love.

TRANSLATION

Haridasa Thakura protested, "These two benedictions are not the true result of chanting the holy name. By actually chanting the holy name without offenses, one awakens his ecstatic love for the lotus feet of Krsna.
