প্রিয়া-মুখে ভৃঙ্গ পড়ে, তাহা নিবারিতে ।
লীলাপদ্ম চালাইতে হৈল অন্যচিত্তে ॥ ৫২ ॥

priya-mukhe bhrṅga pade, taha nivarite

lila-padma calaite haila anya-citte

SYNONYMS

priya-mukhe-on His beloved's face; bhrṅga-the bumblebees; pade-fall; taha-that; nivarite-to prevent; lila-the pastimes; padma-the lotus flower; calaite-causing to move; haila-was; anya-citte-diverted in the mind.

TRANSLATION

" 'To stop the bumblebees from landing on the face of His beloved, He whisked them away with the lotus flower in His hand, and thus His mind was slightly diverted.
