maya-amse kahi tare nimitta-karana
seha nahe, yate karta-hetu--narayana
SYNONYMS
maya-amseto the other portion of the material nature; kahiI say; tareunto her; nimitta-karanaimmediate cause; seha nahethat cannot be; yatebecause; karta-hetuthe original cause; narayanaLord Narayana.
TRANSLATION
The maya aspect of material nature is the immediate cause of the cosmic manifestation. But it also cannot be the real cause, for the original cause is Lord Narayana.
