God is behind

Imported quote 15097 One should not think that all the interactions of the physical elements, gross and subtle, that cause the transformation of mind and consciousness are working independently. They are under the direction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In Bhagavad-gita (15.15), Krsna says that the Lord is situated in everyone's heart (sarvasya caham hrdi sannivisto mattaḥ smrtir jnanam apohanam ca). As mentioned herein, Supersoul (ksetrajna) is directing everything. The living entity is also ksetrajna, but the supreme ksetrajna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is the witness and order giver. Under His direction, everything takes place. The different inclinations of the living entity are created by his own nature or his expectations, and he is trained by the Supreme Personality of Godhead through the agency of material nature. The body, nature and the physical elements are under the direction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. They do not function automatically. Nature is neither independent nor automatic. As confirmed in Bhagavad-gita, the Supreme Personality of Godhead is behind nature.
(More...) Imported quote 16820 That is said in the Bhagavad-gita: mayadhyaksena [Bg 9.10]. Krsna says, "Under My superintendence the nature is working." That is the fact. Nature, the matter... Matter cannot combine together automatically. These skyscraper building, they are created with matter, but the matter has not come to become skyscraper building automatically. That is not possible. There is a small, teeny spirit soul, the engineer or the architect, who takes the matter and decorate it and creates a skyscraper building. That is our experience. So how we can say that the matter is working automatically? Matter does not work automatically. It requires higher brain, higher manipulation, therefore higher order. Just like in this material world we have got the highest order, the sun, movement of the sun, the heat energy, light energy of the sun. So how it is being utilized? That is stated in the sastra: yasyajnaya bhramati sambhrta-kala-cakro govindam adi-purusam tam aham bhajami. This sun planet is also a planet like this planet. As in this planet there may be many presidents, but formerly there was one president only, so similarly, in each planet there is a president. In the sun planet we receive this knowledge from Bhagavad-gita. Krsna says, imam vivasvate yogam proktavan aham avyayam [Bg 4.1]: "I first of all spoke this science of Bhagavad-gita to Vivasvan." Vivasvan means the president of the sun globe, and his son is Manu. This is the time. This time is going on. It is called Vaivasvata Manu period. Vaivasvata means from Vivasvan, the son of Vivasvan. He is called Vaivasvata Manu.
(More...) Imported quote 18480 The material nature is working just like shadow. Shadow. If you have got this real hand and there is shadow, if you move your hand, the shadow of the hand also moves. Similarly, this material nature is working in touch with the spirit soul. Just like big pilot is flying in the sky-we have got experience-but it is not independently flying. There is the pilot. He is pushing the button, and it is flying. A big car, big machine, big factory-without touch of spiritual touch, there is no question of moving. We have got this practical experience. Where is the evidence that without the touch of spirit soul that machine is moving? Is there any evidence? Then how you can say that without God the whole universe is moving? There is no evidence. We have no such experience. Then how you can say that without the direction of God, the material nature can move? There is no such experience. And from the evidences of sastra... Here it is said, "The wind is blowing, the water is moving, the sun is giving scorching heat-everything-all under the direction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead." Not only that, direction, but it is said bhayat. Bhayat. Bhayat means if the respective directors or agent of different material elements, if they do not work properly, then he is punished, as the master punishes the servant. Mayadhyaksena [Bg 9.10].
