Here it is clearly stated: hamso hamsena pratibodhitaḥ. The individual soul and the Supersoul are both compared to swans (hamsa) because they are white or uncontaminated. One swan, however, is superior and is the instructor of the other. When the inferior swan is separated from the other swan, he is attracted to material enjoyment. This is the cause of his falldown. When he hears the instructions of the other swan, he understands his real position and is again revived to his original consciousness. The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna, comes down (avatara) to deliver His devotees and kill the demons. He also gives His sublime instructions in the form of Bhagavad-gita. The individual soul has to understand his position by the grace of the Lord and the spiritual master because the text of Bhagavad-gita cannot be understood simply by academic qualifications. One has to learn Bhagavad-gita from a realized soul.    (More...)

That Krsna advises: man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namas.... Man-manaḥ... If you think of Krsna always, then naturally you become devotee of Krsna. Man-mana bhava mad-bhaktaḥ. And mad-yaji, and if you actually become devotee of Krsna, then you shall worship Krsna. And if you actually worship Krsna, then you must offer obeisances to Krsna. Therefore Krsna advises four things: man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru [Bg 18.65]. Then what will be the result? Mam evaisyasi. Simply by practicing these four things. It does not require any M.A., Ph.D., degree. Simply you have to agree, "Yes, I shall think of Krsna, chant Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna." You have to agree. That's all. That is required. Then gradually you become bhakta. Gradually you worship, and gradually you offer obeisances, surrender. That one, that is wanted by Krsna, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg 18.66].    (More...)

So every senses you can engage in Krsna's service. Just we have got senses, ten senses, and the mind. So mind engaged in Krsna, legs engaged for going to the temple, hands engaged for cleansing the temple, nose engaged for smelling the flower offered to Krsna or tulasi offered to Krsna, tongue to taste Krsna's prasadam, hear Hare Krsna mantra-in this way, you can engage all the senses. There is no need of education. There is no need of passing M.A., Ph.D. You practice this simple yoga system: sa vai manaḥ krsna-padaravindayor vacamsi vaikuntha-gunanuvarnane [SB 9.4.18]. Ambarisa Maharaja used to do that. Vacamsi vaikuntha-gunanuvarnane. You have to talk, but don't talk nonsense. But you engage your talking about Srimad-Bhagavatam, Bhagavad-gita-vaikuntha. Vaikuntha means without any kuntha, without any anxiety. Other talking, you will have so many anxieties because that is not vaikuntha talking. But if you engage your talking on the subject matter of Krsna... Krsna is talking. Krsna is not dumb, deaf and dumb, nirakara. No. He is talking before Krsna, aham adir hi devanam [Bg 10.2], aham: "Here I am. I am the origin of all the devas." So Krsna is talking like that. Mam eva ye prapadyante mayam etam taranti te [Bg 7.14]. He is talking. Man-mana bhava mad-bhaktaḥ: "Just think of Me. Become My devotee."    (More...)

So I am very much pleased to see the atmosphere here. Education means Krsna consciousness. That is education. If simply we understand that "Krsna is the Supreme Person. He is great, and we are all subordinate. So our duty is to serve Krsna," these two lines, if we understand, then our life is perfect. If we simply learn how to worship Krsna, how to please Him, how to dress Him nicely, how to give Him nice foodstuff, how to decorate Him with ornaments and flowers, how to offer our respectful obeisances unto Him, how to chant His name, in this way, if we simply think, without any so-called education we become the perfect person within the universe. This is Krsna consciousness. It doesn't require A-B-C-D education. It requires simply change of consciousness.    (More...)
