by engaging them in Krishna consciousness

Imported quote 14023 In the sruti, or Veda-mantra, it is said that the Supreme Absolute Truth is sarva-kamaḥ sarva-gandhaḥ sarva-rasaḥ, or, in other words, He is known as raso vai saḥ, the source of all relishable relationships (rasas). We have various senses-the powers of seeing, tasting, smelling, touching, etc.-and all the propensities of our senses can be satisfied when the senses are engaged in the service of the Lord. Hrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam bhaktir ucyate (Narada-pancaratra). "Bhakti means engaging all the senses in the service of the master of the senses, Hrsikesa." These material senses, however, cannot be engaged in the service of the Lord; therefore one has to become free from all designations. Sarvopadhi-vinirmuktam tatparatvena nirmalam. One has to become free from all designation or false egotism and thus become purified. When we engage our senses in the service of the Lord, the desires or the inclinations of the senses can be perfectly fulfilled. Lord Siva therefore wants to see the Lord in a form which is inconceivable to the Buddhist philosophers or the Buddhists.

So mind engaged in Krsna, legs engaged for going to the temple, hands engaged for cleansing the temple, nose engaged for smelling the flower offered to Krsna or tulasi offered to Krsna, tongue to taste Krsna's prasadam, hear Hare Krsna mantra-in this way, you can engage all the senses. There is no need of education. There is no need of passing M.A., Ph.D. You practice this simple yoga system: sa vai manaḥ krsna-padaravindayor vacamsi vaikuntha-gunanuvarnane [SB 9.4.18]. Ambarisa Maharaja used to do that. Vacamsi vaikuntha-gunanuvarnane. You have to talk, but don't talk nonsense. But you engage your talking about Srimad-Bhagavatam, Bhagavad-gita-vaikuntha. Vaikuntha means without any kuntha, without any anxiety. Other talking, you will have so many anxieties because that is not vaikuntha talking. But if you engage your talking on the subject matter of Krsna... Krsna is talking. Krsna is not dumb, deaf and dumb, nirakara. No. He is talking before Krsna, aham adir hi devanam [Bg 10.2], aham: "Here I am. I am the origin of all the devas." So Krsna is talking like that. Mam eva ye prapadyante mayam etam taranti te [Bg 7.14]. He is talking. Man-mana bhava mad-bhaktaḥ: "Just think of Me. Become My devotee."
