स विदित्वाथ भार्यायास् तं निर्बन्धं विकर्मणि ।
नत्वा दिष्टाय रहसि तयाथोपविवेश हि ॥ ३१ ॥

sa viditvatha bharyayas
tam nirbandham vikarmani
natva distaya rahasi
tayathopavivesa hi
sah-he; viditva-understanding; atha-thereupon; bharyayah-of the wife; tam-that; nirbandham-obstinacy; vikarmani-in the forbidden act; natva-offering obeisances; distaya-unto worshipable fate; rahasi-in a secluded place; taya-with her; atha-thus; upavivesa-sat on; hi-certainly.
