eta kahi' krodhavese, bhavera tarange bhase,
utkantha-sagare dube mana
radhara utkantha-vani, padi' apane vakhani,
krsna-madhurya kare asvadana
eta kahi'-saying this; krodha-avese—in the mood of anger; bhavera tarange—in the waves of ecstatic love; bhase—floats; utkantha—of anxieties; sagare—in the ocean; dube mana—merges the mind; radhara—of Srimati Radharani; utkantha-vani—words of anxiety; padi'-reciting; apane—personally; vakhani—explaining; krsna-madhurya—the sweetness of Krsna; kare asvadana—tastes.
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu spoke these words in a mood of anger as He floated on waves of ecstatic love. Merged in an ocean of anxiety, He recited a verse spoken by Srimati Radharani expressing the same emotion. Then He personally explained the verse and thus tasted the sweetness of Krsna.
